One of the first big Masters events of the year. I’m pleased to have come away with such a large set of photos, because I had to find time to race four times myself that afternoon! |

A busy afternoon of events. There was even an Open meeting thrown in, which meant that my photography was sandwiched either side of a very forgettable 200m race. |

BMAF Indoor Championships 2009 , Pickett’s Lock, 7 and 8 March 2009 |

Lots of photographs! A busier weekend than I expected. For the first time in three years, I made it into the M50 60m final, and then ran my fastest race since 2006. I struggled in Sunday’s 200m, but made the final again. Not bad for an oldie in the age group. And I still found time (and energy) to cover almost all track events, and a few jumps. |

7th European Veterans Championships Indoors, Ancona, Italy, 25 to 29 March 2009 |
|
I worked at these Championships as an official photographer for the British Masters Athletics Federation, and as an official photographer for the European Masters Athletics Association, as well as competing every day as an athlete. It was therefore a very busy time! See my Blog entry. |

Southern Counties Veterans Athletics Championships Sunday 14 June 2009, Kingston, Surrey |
|
The usual busy day for me, because I ran in the 100m (silver) and 200m (gold). I didn’t really pick up the camera until that was all out of the way. This was a good warm day, and well organized, but it was a great pity that many who had entered just didn’t turn up. |

The Interland 2009— GB Masters v France and Belgium Compiegne, France, 27 June 2009 |
|
These photos concentrate on the GB team. The team was a shadow of the one that won the 2008 Interland, sadly. Nevertheless there were great performances. I wasn’t called on to run, so it even gave me a chance to make my peace with the throwers, and get some shots of them! For the record, France won, Belgium were second, GB third. |
